As always, PA DUI lawyers stand to gain some good wisdom and insight by looking at recent convictions and sentences in the area.
Recent sentences and convictions can give a Pennsylvania DUI attorney an idea of what to expect from a certain judge or County court. The recent sentences and conviction information can also help DUI suspects to see what their options are and what penalties they might be subject to.
Here's a weekly recap of the latest ARD sentences from Bradford County, PA from the month of March:
- Nine month probation, under the supervision of the Bradford County Probation Department for a 56 year old woman from Monroetown, as well as suspension of Pennsylvania driving privileges for 30 days. While in ARD, she must perform community service with the DUI litter brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel. The conviction was based on her December 2009 arrest.
- Twelve month probation, under the supervision of the Bradford County Probation Department. The 25 year old woman from Wyalusing must also perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel. She loses her driving privileges for 60 days. This sentencing is related to a November 2009 crash, involving DUI.
- Twelve month probation under the supervision of Bradford County Probation Department for a 51 year old Laceyville woman in connection with a December 2009 DUI arrest. The woman will also attend a Victim Impact Panel and perform community service with the DUI litter Brigade, in addition to losing her Pennsylvania driving privileges for 60 days.
What's the lesson here, for PA DUI attorneys? Although ARD might be a great program to get a DUI convict into since there it's a light probation sentence with an expungement of record. However, it's still no walk in the park. Most ARD participants will have to attend a Victim Impact Panel and many will also have to pick up trash on the roads.
However, these sentences are in hopes that DUI offenders do not become repeat offenders. If you have questions about ARD or DUI offenses, it may be wise to consult a PA DUI lawyer.
